The Journal of Studies in Language, Culture, and Society (JSLCS) welcomes high-quality articles for a special issue on empowering global citizenship and its role in bridging cultural gaps and developing skills that facilitate dialogue across borders.  This issue aims at bringing to light approaches to cultivating global knowledge, attitudes and skills by encouraging individuals to engage with diverse communities.  Thus, this issue invites research, case studies, and best practices on community engagement that transcends geographical boundaries and pressing issues bringing local and global communities together.

Submission Guidelines

Submitted manuscripts should include original research and provide empirically or theoretically robust insights into the selected topic. Submissions should:

  • Be written in English.  
  • Contain 5,000–10,000 words, including a minimum of 15 references in APA 7th Edition (the preferred number varies between 30 and 40 from reputed references with at least 50% of recent references-2022-2025). The relevance and quality of citations are important.
  • Include a clear methodology section, detailing approaches, data collection tools and procedures, results, discussions and actionable recommendations and conclusions.

 The journal does not support AI-produced papers. Such papers are systematically rejected.

All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review.
